Welcome to Rubber Consultants’ first Newsletter of 2008. Rubber Consultants has access to the expertise and extensive facilities of one of the world’s leading and most progressive rubber research and development laboratories, the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre (TARRC), located just outside London. Established over 70 years ago, TARRC’s excellence in polymer R&D has enabled Rubber Consultants to build up a large and varied client base that includes a wide spectrum of industries varying from sole traders to multinational companies. Rubber Consultants skills and expertise are applied to developing new materials, components and products and to solving real world problems.
As usual, we are please to include a full technical article; the subject of this issue is epoxised natural rubber or ENR, now marketed as ‘Ekoprena’, the ‘green’ material that can be used as a replacement to petroleum-based synthetic rubbers.
